Get into the Box for our monthly Open Mic Nights! In September we welcome the FABulous Kecia Deroly, who will be our host for the evening!

TUESDAY, September 17th
7:00-9:00 pm
Doors will open to the public at 6:30. Kecia will start off the performances at 7:00.

There is no cover charge. Donations are encouraged and help to support our non-profit organization.

The Box Factory for the Arts exists to support and encourage the arts in all forms and expressions and to provide a space for artists of all levels to share their gifts. Open Mic Nights are the perfect opportunity for that! Each month we welcome folks of all ages to take to our stage and share their talent - be it music, comedy, spoken word, dance… you name it! All are welcome to come out and support artists and the arts.

Please keep in mind that the Box Factory for the Arts is a family friendly venue, so we do ask that you keep your performance respectful of all ages.

KECIA DEROLY
Kecia is a theater veteran and world traveled concert performer. Some of her major accomplishments include The Yoke, A Christmas Carol, Fiddler on the Roof, A Chorus Line, A Christmas Story, State Fair, AIDA, Dreamgirls, Cinderella and The Lion King on Broadway. She performed two concert series at Carnegie Hall under the direction of the esteemed Tony Regina. She has been performing with several bands all over the world since the age of 14, lending her voice to several of NYC's iconic performance stages, including The Iguana Lounge, Don’t Tell Mama Cabaret, Jelsomino, Lee Bergman Theater, TOSHI’s Living Room, and URBO 'Lights Out On Broadway' to name a few.

Kecia is also known for her many solo concert performances throughout the United States including "Broadway Past and Present" (a one woman tribute to Broadway) and "Make Them Laugh, Make Them Cry, Bring Them Hope" (a tribute to female performers who have paved the way for other female artists). She performed as backup singer to Brandy Norwood during her world tour in 2012, as well as performing private events for Queen Latifah, Idina Menzel, Sean “Puffy” Coombs, Jim Carrey, and B.B. King. She's finished a three-year contract as a soloist and show band performer traveling the world on several Carnival and Norwegian cruise ships. Kecia moved from New York City to Michigan in the past year and is excited to make her mark.
