Roughly 20% of Michigan’s flora are graminoid species – grasses, sedges, and rushes. These herbaceous species with grass-like morphology are found in every habitat and often dominate. However, distinguishing among the families and species can be difficult.

Join Tyler Bassett, PhD in the classroom and field to overcome your unfamiliarity with graminoids while gaining the confidence to identify them on your own.

Two part workshop:

  • Thursday, August 16, 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Kellogg Biological Station, Stack Building Rm 145
  • Saturday, August 18, 9:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Kellogg Biological Station, Stack Building Rm 145 & Field Trip

$100/members. $120 non-members. Minimum of 10 and maximum of 20 participants.

Registration required by August 10, 2018
