Join the Historical Society via Zoom for a virtual Harbor History Talk on Thursday, March 11 at 7pm with LeeAnn Ewer. LeeAnn has been with the Mackinac State Historic Parks since 2007. In her current position as Interpretive Assistant she has worked extensively to recreate the historic gardens at Colonial Michilimackinac in Mackinac City.

From 1715-1781 Michilimackinac was best known as a fort and fur trading center. Archaeology, trading records, along with many other sources have all contributed to the reconstruction of this 18th century village. LeeAnn’s program will present a brief history of the site, as well as her work in recreating and maintaining the historic gardens that were a part of everyday life at the Straits of Mackinac.

Registration is required. A Zoom link will be emailed to participants a few days prior to the presentation.
