The British rock group Coldplay explores such universal themes as doubt and fear as well as hope and love in its songs. Nearly 200 years earlier, German composer Ludwig van Beethoven did the same with his epic concert music. The D&W Fresh Market Picnic Pops welcomes this symphonic mashup of Beethoven’s revolutionary “Eroica” Symphony No. and Coldplay’s biggest hits including The Scientist, Clocks, Fix You and Viva la Vida. Join Guest Conductor Steve Hackman and the Grand Rapids Pops for a remarkable and fantastic journey of discovery and delight at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, July 26-27. Gates open at Cannonsburg Ski Area at 5:45 p.m. Advance tickets start at $20 adults, $5 for children for lawn seats. All tickets are $5 more the day of the show.
