The Coopersville & Marne Railway will host EnterTRAINmentExcursions every Wednesday and Saturday from May 02 through September 22. Departures are at 11:00 am and/or at 1:30 pm. See website at www.MItrain.net for time details. On board enterTRAINment is provided by acoustic guitar-playing singers from The Coopersville Farm Museum's Tuesday Night Jams. Get ready for a rousing rendition of "I've Been Working on the Railroad" and other classic songs. The singer will be in your railcar for at least 25% of the 90-minute round-trip. The passenger cars were built between 1919 and 1932. Each has a restroom. Two of the cars are air-conditioned. The train is pulled by a 1200 hp, 1952 General Motors, EMD SW-9 locomotive. Our friendly, uniformed conductor will talk about local history including our hometown Rock n' Roll pioneer star - Del Shannon - who is famous for many hit songs of the 60's including "Runaway".
