The Multi-Lakes Association for Civil War Studies will be participating in events at Fort Mackinac the weekend of June 22-23, 2019. Along with the Civil War Union soldiers as the Stanton Guard, there will also be three portraying Confederate prisoners, just as the fort had in 1863. They plan to bring over 30 soldiers and civilians to tell about this part of the fort’s and nation’s history.
