Grab your morning beverage and join us to learn more about five bird species! Each month, we highlight birds that you can find in our southwest Michigan backyards, woods and waters during this time of year.

Birds and Coffee chats are held from 10 to 11 a.m. on the second Wednesday of each month, via Zoom. The online chats are free, but registration is required to access meeting details.

Summer dates and species of focus include:

Aug. 11: Insect-eating birds—Eastern Phoebe, Eastern Wood-PeWee, Great Crested Flycatcher, Yellow-throated Vireo, Red-eyed Vireo.

Sept. 8: Sparrows—Song Sparrow, Chipping Sparrow, Field Sparrow, House Sparrow, Eastern Towhee.
