The Birding Basics workshop will begin indoors learning skills, including how to identify birds using a field guidebook or mobile app. The second part will take place outdoors; attendees will walk the Sanctuary trails and practice spotting and identifying birds. Be sure to dress for the weather, and bring binoculars and a field guide, or borrow them from the Sanctuary. Attendees will receive an informational packet to take home, and light refreshments will be provided.
