Join Art Park volunteer Tim Murtaugh on a guided snowshoe tour adventure through our gorgeous forest trails, followed by a special whiskey tasting at nearby Iron Fish Distillery to warm up with old friends and new. You’ll have an opportunity to learn about Michigan Legacy Art Park and its history, as well as get a wildly new perspective of the over 50 works in our collection as you explore the peaceful woods in winter.

This FREE tour meets at the Art Park Trailhead at 2:30 PM EDT on Sunday February 2, 2020. You will snowshoe around the nature trail (approximately one mile) and the tour will last about 60-90 minutes, depending on the pace and the weather. The tour will end back at the Trailhead and parking lot.

Immediately following the tour, those interested in gathering for the whiskey tasting will meet at Iron Fish Distillery (just 3 miles down North County Line Road) where we’ll have a reserved table, special Art Park discount on a flight of spirits, and a personal introduction to the Iron Fish ethos from one of their talented staff.

Bring your own snowshoes, poles, water bottles and cold-weather gear and apparel. Snacks for yourself are recommended. Snowshoe Rentals for all ages are available at nearby Crystal Mountain. Dogs on leash and children are most welcome to join (including at Iron Fish Distillery, but only those 21+ with valid ID can partake in the libations). Please snowshoe and drive responsibly.
