If you’re looking for fun things to do before summer ends, there’s a lot coming up in August around West Michigan!
Courtney Sheffer with West Michigan Tourist Association joined FOX 17 Morning News to tell us more about what’s coming up.
Unity Christian Music Festival – Muskegon
- Kicking off at the end of this week, the Unity Christian Music Festival is back in Muskegon this summer, and runs from August 11th through August 14th. It takes place outdoors at Heritage Landing, and is celebrating its 20th year with artists including Matthew West, For King and Country, TobyMac, and a full schedule of other artists. Wednesday is free to attend, and tickets for the rest of the festival are available online.
Burning Foot Festival – Muskegon
- The Burning Foot Beer festival is back in Muskegon this year as well, and it’s coming up on Saturday, August 28th. It takes place right at Pere Marquette Beach, and even has “barefoot entry” since the whole festival takes place on the sand! They’ll have over 400 different beers you can sample, as well as two stages with live music, bonfires, and even camping right on site!
34th Annual Rubber Ducky Festival – Bellaire
- And last up, we have a fun festival that’s taking place up north in Bellaire this month! It’s their 34th Annual Rubber Ducky Festival, and downtown Bellaire will be full of duck-themed family fun! Check out the Paddle Antrim Ducky Paddle, the Community BBQ, a Grand Parade, and, the highlight of the festival: the Rubber Ducky Race. The festival kicks off August 16th, and runs through the 21st.
