Learn new crafting skills and enjoy the fruits of your efforts through a pair of upcoming make-and-take event offered at the W.K. Kellogg Biological Station.
Classes are led by Sherri Snyder, local artist and owner of Green Goddess Farms, and will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in McCrary Hall, which is adjacent to the Kellogg Manor House. Supplies will be provided. To register and reserve your spot, call (269) 671-2160.
Workshops
Thursday, Dec. 12, 6 to 7:30 p.m. — In the Whoville Hat class, you’ll create a whimsical, Dr. Seuss-style container arrangement using fresh greens and accessories that can be displayed indoors or outside. No experience is necessary; and bringing garden gloves and pruners is helpful but not required. The cost is $50 for Manor House members, and $55 for non-members.
Tuesday, Dec. 17 — In the Narcissus Blumen Garden class, you’ll create a charming fresh arrangement featuring Narcissus bulbs. This European-style indoor “garden” will last a few weeks as a centerpiece or decoration. All materials are reusable or compostable. Garden gloves are recommended. The cost is $52 for Manor House members, and $57 for non-members. There are two sessions available; the morning session will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m., and the evening session will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
