The Christkindl Markt at the Grand Rapids Downtown Market welcomes the holiday season with the announcement of this year’s vendor lineup. Taking place November 19-December 23, 2025, the Christkindl Markt will feature 60+ vendors including authentic food, handcrafted products, and unique holiday gifts.
Now a cherished holiday tradition in West Michigan, the Christkindl Markt has become a magical holiday experience for many families and visitors. Known for its enchanting European ambiance, the Christkindl Markt is carefully curated to transport attendees to a traditional German-inspired Christmas village right in the heart of Grand Rapids. Every year, hundreds of thousands of visitors attend the Christkindl Markt to celebrate the festive atmosphere, enjoy the food and beverages, and shop through the festive vendors' stalls.
This year’s Christkindl Markt will feature more than 60 hand-selected vendors with a mix of returning and new businesses. Visitors can browse and shop a wide range of jewelry, ceramics, candles, soaps, toys, stationery, holiday decor, and home decor. Each gift, product, and merchant undergoes an approval process with the Christkindl Markt team to ensure an authentic and diverse experience with no two vendors offering the same selection.
In addition to great gifts for family and friends, guests can look forward to indulging in a variety of authentic foods like warm potato pancakes, Bavarian-style pretzels, bratwurst, pierogies, schnitzel, spaetzle, and fan favorite melted raclette, an Alpine cheese iconic for its pungent aroma and nutty flavor.

Christkindl Markt guests will once again be able to warm up with the signature red Glühwein in a new commemorative mug, but a new addition to the menu this year is a white version of the classic mulled wine. Another exciting addition is Eierpunsch — a warm, spiced German egg punch served warm and topped with whipped cream.
Hot cocoa, hot cider, and a bubbles bar will all be returning this year along with Dunk the Halls, the Christkindl Markt's exclusive Christmas beer produced by Brewery Vivant.
In addition, the Christkindl Markt’s Alpenglobe rentals are now available to reserve. Nestled among the twinkling lights these cozy ‘globes offer the perfect spot to warm up, gather with friends and family, and use as a homebase to explore everything the Christkindl Markt has to offer. Curling rentals are also available for your group to have some friendly (and frosty) competition.
The Christkindl Markt kicks off at the Downtown Market on November 19, 2025 and will be open Wednesday-Sunday throughout the season with Monday, December 22 and Tuesday, December 23 being the final two days before closing for Christmas Eve.
