Downtown Holland, Holland On Ice; February 2nd thru 4th  This is the weekend for all things winter and ice - but only the frosty fun and games kind! Downtown Holland will be hosting a two-day winter festival called Holland on Ice, and you’ll surely be wow’d by all the ice sculptures on display. Live carving will take place in GDK Park each day from 12-7 p.m. and you can watch the professionals transform over 10,000 pounds of frozen blocks into sculptures and interactive glacial fun and games. With loads of interactive ice carvings, you can grab a selfie in a giant picture frame, sit in an icy car, or even play a game of Arctic tic tac toe. Be sure to take advantage of the snow-free sidewalks as you stroll the boutiques and shops hosting fabulous Meltdown Sales, giveaways, and promotions, all with a frosty theme, of course. If strolling isn’t enough, how about signing up for something with a faster pace? - the Snowmelt 5 K run will have you running really warm!  St. Joseph Ice Fest; February 2nd through 4th, activities at various times  How about two Ice Fests in one weekend? There is another three days of winter fun awaiting in St. Joseph. And we’d say it’s the perfect time to make both of them part of your weekend fun! The downtown streets will come alive with the sound of ice professionals and their magical chainsaws carving out some impressively creative ice sculptures and interactive displays. Along with many photo opp moments, there will also be a scavenger hunt and a Saturday afternoon magic show. Winter can’t get any more fun than this, especially with Ice Bowling, Frozen Putt Putt Golf, Frozen Skee Ball, and wait for it… - a frozen fish toss! - all part of the many frosty games and winter festivities in St. Joseph this weekend.  Sarett Nature Center-Cross Country Skiing Lessons for Adults- Sunday, February 4, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.  After you check out the St. Joseph Ice Fest, venture on over to the Sarett Nature Center in Benton Harbor on Sunday. Have you always wanted to learn the finer points of cross-country skiing but never had the time, the nerve, or anyone to show you the way? This nature center has over 8 miles of meandering trails on 1000 acres overlooking the Paw Paw River, with beautiful views and vistas. Call the Nature Center to register.
