The Woods Fitness Park Midwest Canine Obstacle Run: Tomorrow, October 7th If you're a runner who has a dog and craves a unique challenge and bonding experience, this is the 5K for you!  It’s not too late to sign up with your ‘ best friend’ and tackle the 40-acres of wooded terrain, and 40 specially designed obstacles at the beautiful Woods Fitness Park in Benton Harbor.  Throw in a bit of dirt and mud and water and you’ll see how you stack up against other runners and ambitious canines and maybe win the prize.  But, the real prize is simply trying new things, hanging with your favorite friend, and meeting new people and canines too!  After the run there will be time to chill with food, beer and live music, and even overnight camping if you choose. There’s lots to do in the park and kids will especially love the kids zone.  Fitness and fun for both you and your dog - how could this not be the ultimate bonding experience.   Virtue Cider: Apple Fest: Tomorrow, October 7th We celebrate all sorts of things in Michigan, and rightly so. But at Virtue Cider, it’s all about those apples!  Raise a glass of cider and toast to the apple harvest on Saturday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Virtue Cider Apple Fest. Local farmers come and drop off giant crates of freshly picked apples that are then pressed on-site, fermented underground where it’s nice and cool, and ultimately served up as 20 different delicious hard ciders.  If you’ve never been to Virtue, it’s a pretty cool place that embraces sustainability and authentic age-old cider practices, and they’d love to tell you all about it. So come and enjoy live music, tastings, yard games, a bonfire, and much more!  Canadiana Fest: Tomorrow, October 7th  Tomorrow is a really special festival that celebrates all things Canadian! So, ‘Bring your EH game!’ (and your lawn chair!) to the Arcadia Creek Festival Place in downtown Kalamazoo. Be ready to experience Canadian love, culture, food, fun, and kindness, while benefiting two local charities that fight hunger and food insecurity in South Michigan. You're gonna love the world ‘champine’ poutine competition, the Canadian beer and awesome music - think Jazz, Celtic, Tribute bands and even a pipe band.  But personally, I’m excited about all the unique Canadian cultural activities and competitions that will be happening throughout the day; who knows, maybe I’ll even try my hand at ‘curling!”  Kids 12 and under free; Tickets starting at $ 25.00
