Lake Michigan Carferry has officially announced the return of the SS Badger’s highly anticipated overnight "doubles" schedule across Lake Michigan. Running from June 19 through September 7, the additional overnight crossings offer passengers a unique travel experience and greater flexibility.
The iconic 410-foot National Historic Landmark—the last coal-fired steamship of its kind still operating in the United States—will operate the following overnight schedule:
Depart Ludington: 8:45 p.m. (ET), arriving in Manitowoc at 11:45 p.m. (CT).
Depart Manitowoc: 1:30 a.m. (CT), arriving in Ludington at 6:30 a.m. (ET).
Overnight passengers can enjoy most the ship's traditional amenities, including Badger Bingo (8:45 p.m. crossing only) , free movies, staterooms, and dining.
"Our overnight sailings provide a fantastic value and a chance to experience Lake Michigan under the stars," said Thom Hawley, Public Relations Director for the Badger. "With each season, we look forward to adding these crossings to our summer schedule to accommodate even more travelers."
