South Haven is excited to announce the upcoming Boo Bash celebration, taking place at Huron Street Pavilion on Saturday, October 28, 2023.  “We’re excited to host this brand new event for the South Haven community this fall,” said Jennifer Sistrunk, executive director of the South Haven Convention & Visitors Bureau. “We’re combining elements of fun, whimsy, and a healthy mix of the macabre for this Halloween celebration. We invite locals and visitors of all ages to get decked out in their costumes and join in the Halloween fun!” Starting at 12pm, food trucks VanHorn Concessions, Fruit Street Kitchen, Sweet Escape, Crazy Good Crepes, Fluff & Stuff, and The Full Belly will be open to serve Boo Bash attendees. Food trucks will be open until the close of the festivities at 8pm.  Attendees are invited to dress up in costume and take part in the Costume Contest at 2pm. Guests can also bring their furry friends to Boo Bash to participate in the Howl-o-Ween Pet Costume Parade, hosted by Decadent Dogs. The best dressed pet will be crowned on the Boo Bash stage immediately following the parade at 1pm.  Trunk-or-treating will take place from 2:30-4:30pm at the pavilion, followed by a live performance from South Haven local band Nautic Bound from 5-7pm. Closing out the festivities at 6:30pm, the Headless Horseman will pay a visit to downtown South Haven with a ride at dusk, continuing an area favorite tradition. Several South Haven area businesses will also host activities throughout the day in celebration of Boo Bash. South Haven Center for the Arts will be hosting spooky themed crafts from 12-2pm, while The Mitten Children's Museum will feature fun family activities from 1-3pm.
