one of the top five in the world. The TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards named the Sleeping
Bear Dunes National Lakeshore beaches tops in the United States. The ranking trailed only
locations in South Africa, Italy and the UK in the category One-Of-A-Kind Beaches.

opinions from the TripAdvisor community over a 12-month period. Out of 8 million listings,
fewer than one percent achieve this milestone. Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore
received an overall rating of 4.8 from more than 1,900 reviewers.
In addition to the one-of-a-kind category, TripAdvisor recognized the Top 10 Beaches in the
World and the Top 10 Beaches in the U.S. Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore was the only
Michigan location recognized on the listings.
