Tibbits Summer Theatre presents Forever Plaid, a captivating musical journey through the melodies of the 1950s and 1960s. Running from June 13 to June 22 at Tibbits Opera House, this enchanting musical revue promises to transport attendees to a bygone era filled with nostalgia and charm.
Forever Plaid follows the story of four aspiring singers whose dreams of stardom are tragically cut short by a bus collision. However, fate grants them one final chance to perform, and from the afterlife, they harmonize their way through a repertoire of timeless classics. As melodies from the past intertwine, they discover the enduring power of friendship and the joy of sharing music with others.
"This is a musical comedy about four men who get to realize their dream. The best part is watching these four characters discover they can overcome their self-doubt and become a great singing group," says director and choreographer David Craven. "Their contrasting personalities are what make the show so much fun. Even when they find fault with each other, the underlying bond is clear. Tibbits Summer Theatre's production boasts beautiful renditions of the show's 22 four-part harmonies, guaranteeing an entertaining experience for all ages. It's a feel-good show that will leave audiences humming long after the curtain falls."
With musical direction by Cynthia Garn, Forever Plaid boasts a talented team of creative minds.
