The Radisson Plaza Hotel & Suites Kalamazoo announces the debut of the West Michigan Room, a newly reimagined event space for social gatherings, holiday parties, weddings, and corporate events for up to 120 guests.
“The West Michigan Room was designed with intention. Every detail, every transition, every moment was considered to create an experience that feels elevated, seamless, and genuinely personal. This space reflects the standard we’re setting not just for events, but for how people gather, celebrate, and connect in downtown Kalamazoo,” said Jill Bish, GHG Corporate Director of Events.
Located within the former Webster’s Prime footprint, the space overlooks the Kalamazoo Mall and is defined by expansive windows that fill the room with natural light, complemented by original details that reflect its rich history. A fireplace, natural wood flooring, historic woodwork, and a built-in bar contribute to the room’s character, while design enhancements such as artisanal glass lighting, a eucalyptus-inspired chandelier, a moss and candle statement wall, and curated artwork introduce updated elements. At the center of the room, the primary artwork can transition into a display for presentations or personalized content.
The space is designed to accommodate a range of event formats, transitioning from cocktail hour to seated dinner and dancing.
As part of the Radisson Plaza Hotel experience, the West Michigan Room offers in-house catering, dedicated event professionals, and access to on-site guest accommodations, along with proximity to downtown Kalamazoo amenities.
