The Michigan Irish Music Festival, presented by Family Financial Credit Union, is excited to announce the lineup for 2025. This year’s incredible list of artists features Skerryvore, Socks in the Frying Pan, Lúnasa, Old Blind Dogs, Goitse, & Seamus Kennedy.
Skerryvore is a Scottish band that blends traditional folk with contemporary influences, creating a sound that is both epic and intimate. Renowned for their high-energy performances, the band's music fuses bagpipes, fiddles, accordions, and whistles with guitar, vocals, bass, drums, and keys, creating a unique mix of folk, trad, pop, and rock. Skerryvore has become one of Scotland’s leading forces in live music, winning Scotland’s Live Act of the Year three times.
Socks in the Frying Pan is a multi-award winning trio hailing from County Clare on the West coast of Ireland. Their dynamic vocal harmonies, virtuosic musical ability and onstage wit has captivated audiences worldwide.
Lúnasa is one of contemporary Irish music's leading groups, celebrating nearly 30 years of groundbreaking sound. Known as an “Irish music dream team,” the band has sold over a quarter of a million records, collaborated with artists like Natalie Merchant and Mary-Chapin Carpenter, and performed more than 2,000 shows across 36 countries, including prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall and The Hollywood Bowl.
Old Blind Dogs were formed in Aberdeen in 1992, blending eclectic musical influences with the rich tradition of songs and tunes from North East Scotland. Known for their high-energy live performances, Old Blind Dogs are one of Scotland's top traditional music acts.
Goitse is a critically acclaimed, award-winning Irish traditional music quintet with an active international touring schedule. Formed at Limerick’s Irish World Academy, this group blends original compositions with traditional tunes, resulting in energetic, innovative music praised for its creativity and vitality.
Seamus Kennedy is trademarked by his ongoing interaction with his audiences & fast-paced humor. Seamus will segue seamlessly from an Irish ballad about a dying town to a rollicking reel and then move into American music, equally at home with folk, pop, country or traditional.
