Grass River Natural Area (GRNA) will be hosting MapleFest on Saturday, March 16 th from 12pm to 3pm. This free community event will be filled with activities for all ages including demonstrations on the process to make maple syrup, samples of syrup made at GRNA, hikes to the sugarbush to tap trees and collect sap, and activities for kids. “Spring is a special at GRNA”, says Jenn Wright, GRNA Executive Director. “We spend winter anticipating these warmer days when the maple trees share their sugary sap for us to make syrup…true liquid sunshine! We’d love the community to join us to celebrate this special time of year!” This is a FREE event. For more information contact info@grassriver.org or call 231-533-8576.
