River Saint Joe, 2nd Annual Tartan Day Festival; April 6, 12:00 - 4:00 p.m.

It’s time to get your kilt on folks! The Annual Tartan Day Festival at River St Joe is happening today from noon to 4. If you're Scottish, or even if you're not, this is THE day to immerse yourself in full-on tartan. Pop into the Scottish culture and kinship tent for a wee bit of wisdom, grab some Scottish food or Scotch ale, and enjoy the country dances, traditional folk musicians and an awesome pipe band. Be sure to ‘Come Dressed to Kilt; - and win the contest. 

Solar Eclipse Celebration at the Air Zoo; Monday, April 8, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Join the Air Zoo on April 8th for a memorable Solar Eclipse Viewing Party from 1:00 - 3:30 p.m.  To celebrate this incredible cosmic dance of the sun and the moon, the Air Zoo will be hosting an array of sun-themed educational activities. Bring a blanket for viewing this unforgettable experience when the Kalamazoo area is plunged into a deep-partial eclipse.  

Run of the Mill at Windmill Island Gardens, Saturday April 13 -9:30 a.m.

It’s opening day at beautiful Windmill Island Gardens and they can’t wait to see you at their annual 5-K fun-run. This run, pegged ‘Run of the Mill’ is for all ages, but children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Call to register, and know that the admission fees help support the Garden’s on-going programming and operations.
