Discover Kalamazoo announced the launch of its brand-new mobile app, developed in partnership with Visit Widget. This innovative app is designed to enhance the experience of visitors and residents alike by offering users real-time information on attractions, events, dining, shopping, and accommodations. With an intuitive interface and personalized features, users can easily explore Kalamazoo County and create custom itineraries tailored to their interests.

 

This same information will feed through to a “Plan Your Trip” widget on DiscoverKalamazoo.com and four new digital touchscreen kiosks. The kiosks are stationed strategically at the Kalamazoo Battle Creek International Airport, downtown on the Kalamazoo Mall inside the Spirit of Kalamazoo, the visitor center at The Corner inside the WMU student center, and a mobile unit that will be deployed at large events and conferences. Each kiosk is configured to its specific location so visitors interacting with it are shown restaurants, attractions, and shops close to their current location.

 

“We’re excited to introduce these new digital tools in an effort to meet visitors where they are,” said Reed Benton, Director of Operations and Destination Services at Discover Kalamazoo. “Placing kiosks in some of the most highly visited areas of our county and providing a mobile app gives visitors better access to discover all that Kalamazoo County has to offer.”
