The W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary’s annual Fall Migration Celebration is set for 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5.   Fall is when waterfowl migrate to warmer waters, and hundreds of birds make a pit stop to rest on the Sanctuary’s Wintergreen Lake. More than 80 different bird species have been spotted at the Sanctuary during November in past years.   Visitors will be able to practice waterfowl identification along the lakeshore and visit stations along the Sanctuary’s accessible Paved Path to learn about waterfowl, game birds and raptors. One of the Sanctuary's ambassador birds will make an appearance, and there will be an interactive presentation on flight migration at 2 p.m. With crafts, games and other activities planned for kids, the Fall Migration Celebration is fun for the entire family.   This event is free for members and non-members alike. No registration is required.   The W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary is located at 12685 East C Ave., one mile north of M-89 and just west of 40th Street. To learn more, visit birdsanctuary.kbs.msu.edu.
