Tibbits Opera House will embrace the Halloween spirit with an unforgettable
evening of live music and a cult classic film at Monster Fest 2024, on October 12. The event
kicks off with a performance by the synth punk band Loser Candy at 8:30 p.m., followed by a
screening of the 1986 vampire favorite The Lost Boys at 9:00 p.m.

Loser Candy, influenced by post-punk icons Joy Division and The Velvet Underground, will
open the night with their unique blend of synth punk infused with blues and American folk
elements, offering an energetic and genre-defying start to the evening. The band’s eclectic
sound is sure to set the mood for a night of thrills.

Following the concert, at 9:00 p.m., The Lost Boys will transport audiences back to the 1980s,
blending horror and humor in a timeless tale of teenage rebellion and vampires. The film,
directed by Joel Schumacher, is known for its stylish visuals, a stellar cast including Corey
Haim, Corey Feldman, and Kiefer Sutherland, and its balance of scares and laughs, making it a
Halloween season favorite. The Lost Boys is rated R for violence and gore, making it a perfect
choice for adult audiences looking for some spooky fun.

Tickets for this double-feature event are $10, including fees. Concessions, including alcoholic
beverages, will be available for purchase. No outside food or drink is allowed inside the theatre.
