April 2021: Wine Trail Event, Spring Read, and Lake Michigan Lighthouse Map

“Rosé all May” on Leelanau Peninsula

The Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail is kicking off their 2021 season with “Rosé All May:” a month-long event inviting you to explore the many rosé wines offered in the area. Once you buy your ticket, you’ll get a souvenir glass to take to any of the 21 wineries on the Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail, and sample a glass of their rosé. You have all month to enjoy the various rosés, which range from dry to sweet, including both sparkling and still varieties. You’re welcome to make reservations ahead of time at any of the wineries you’ll be visiting to help allow for social distancing.

“Spring Read” at Oliver Art Center (Frankfort)

If you’re interested in checking out the work of local authors and poets, the Oliver Art Center in Frankfort is hosting their annual “Spring Read” next week on April 29th. They’ve invited local authors to share readings of their original works, all suitable for family audiences. They’ll be holding the reading virtually this year, and you can tune in via Zoom to enjoy stories, plays, and poems from regional authors.
