The third weekend of the month, June through September, St. Joe Today invites the community to celebrate all things Southwest Michigan during Love Local weekends. This new event promotes shopping locally and supporting area businesses and restaurants.
“Businesses will be offering everything from extended shopping hours, free gift wrapping, new products, featured menu items, specials and more!” said Amy Zapal, executive director of St. Joe Today. Extended hours include Friday and Saturday from 10:00a-8:00p and Sunday from 12:00p-4:00p. Please note these hours are subject to change per location. The Friday Night Concert Series returns this summer on the Friday nights of Love Local weekends. This free, hour-long concert will be held at the John E.N. Howard Bandshell.

August 20 – Jared Knox & The Hager Bombs, 7:00p
September 17 – The Backups, 7:00p
“The bandshell has both bench and lawn seating, so it’s an awesome place for all ages to experience the joy of listening to live music,” said Zapal, “Concertgoers can get take-out food from a variety of restaurants and enjoy a light dinner or sweet treat.”
