Make Time for These Golf Courses in Southwest Michigan

You’ll have no trouble filling your days playing courses purely for the fun of it or to seriously up your game. Few courses in the Midwest rival the gorgeous views from these fairways and greens. And you’ll find tee times to fit when you want to start playing. This is a great time to explore the advantages of applying for a membership at one or more of the Southwest area’s nine public courses. 

Welter’s Folly is a 30,000 sq ft putting green just out the Journeyman Distillery back door in Three Oaks. Modeled after the Himalaya at St. Andrews in Scotland, it’s one of the largest real grass putting greens. Kids under 12 play free. Stop by the outdoor deck and relax around the fire pits open at the ’19th hole.’ 

Looking for a unique golf course to check out this year? Swing on over to Coldwater Country and check out Iyopawa Island Golf Course. This short 9-hole golf course, set on an island, is a fun outing that will challenge anyone to control the ball and keep it out of the water. It’s just one of the nearly dozen golf courses in the area.

The backside features the course’s signature hole, No.10, a par 4 of 411 yards that boasts an 85 foot elevation drop from tee to fairway.
