The Blackstone Legacy
April 29 @ 7 pm on Zoom

Magic historian and long time Blackstone enthusiast, David Schwaninger, invites you on a journey through the life and times of magic superstars Harry Blackstone Senior and Junior. Drawing on years of research (especially for his book-in-progress on Blackstone Jr.), David will tell stories and share objects and photographs. There may even be a surprise guest!

If you ask David Schwaninger how many times he saw the Blackstone Jr. show, his reply is, “More than I can count.” One day, while interviewing famed magic consultant and author, Charles Renyolds, David mentioned that there should really be a book on Blackstone Jr. Renyolds surprised him by suggesting that yes, there should be, and you should write that book. David took the advice to heart and has now almost completed his biography on Blackstone Jr. David’s writing has also recently been featured on the cover of M-U-M Magazine with the article,“Blackstone on Broadway.”
