Easter Is On Its Way

The Easter bunny is hopping just around the corner. Here are some events and ideas to get you egg-cited to celebrate the spring holiday!

Egg-citing Easter Egg Hunts & Events

The History Center at Courthouse Square in Berrien Springs is overrun with bunnies and they need your help to give them a good home in time for Easter. Their 3rd annual Great BCHA Bunny Hunt will start at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 30th and participants have an hour to find one of their twenty-four ducky tokens filled with plenty of candy and goodies. Once a token has been found, you’ll turn it in to the staff to receive your bunny prize. Registration will open March 1st and run through March 28th, RSVP here

Easter egg hunts, brunches, Easter bunny visits and more taking place all around Kalamazoo county. 

Clean off those bunny ears and running shoes and get ready for the 2024 Hippity Hop 5K in Lansing at Potter Park Zoo. This year’s race is on March 30th, and will include a 5K run/walk, Easter Egg Hunt, children’s activities, and you-know-who…the Easter Bunny.

South Haven’s Kal-Haven Outpost campground will host their inaugural Easter Egg Hunt with two age groups on Saturday, April 8th at 11am. Easter eggs and prize tickets will be up for grabs, a food truck will be on-site

, and families can get a sneak peak at new glamping and converted school bus accommodations for the camping season ahead.

Holland knows how to host a holiday hunt. On March 30th, pick from an Egg Scavenger Hunt at Fell in Love Farm, a hunt at Quincy Park with a visit from the Easter Bunny, and over 12,000 eggs ready to gather at Kollen Park. Plus, the Critter Barn will host a Spring Fling the following week and invites all to greet the new babies—chicks, bunnies, lambs, kids, and calves—along with their doting mamas. 

Join the Easter Egg Hunt at Cornwell’s Turkeyville in Marshall. On Saturday, March 30th, kids can sign up to hunt for prize-filled eggs around the Turkeyville grounds. The eggs will contain candy, prizes, and tickets for free ice cream. After the hunt, stick around to order lunch off their menu featuring lots of turkey dishes (like the delicious grilled cheese sandwich with turkey). Don’t forget to bring your own basket or bag to carry your eggs in. 

The Easter Bunny will be riding the Coopersville & Marne Railway again as another Easter Celebration approaches. Passengers of all ages will enjoy the vintage train ride, as it makes its 90-minute journey to Marne and back. Head to the Emmet County Fairgrounds on Saturday, March 30th for the annual Fairgrounds Egg Scramble. Kicking off at 11am, this is sure to be a day of fun that kids and adults alike will enjoy. Bring your own baskets for exciting egg hunts, food, and much more, courtesy of the Emmet County Parks and Recreation department.

Hippity-hop to Thompsonville’s Crystal Mountain for Easter fun. Hit the slopes to ski and ride, then snap a photo with the Easter Bunny after playing the candy guess game and bunny bingo. Plus, there’s a spectacular Easter Brunch menu Sunday morning. Stay the night with them and take advantage of their hot lodging dates to receive up to 25% off. 

Hop to Charlevoix on Saturday, March 30th for their Annual Easter Egg Hunt in downtown Charlevoix’s East Park starting at 2pm. The event is free for children up to 10 years old and includes 4,500 prize-filled eggs. Shelbyville’s Bay Pointe Bar & Grille is hosting Easter brunch on Sunday, March 31st. The buffet will include salad, seafood, breakfast, carving, entrée, children’s, and dessert stations. Reservations are required, and you won’t want to miss out on this spectacular celebration.  

Enjoy a peaceful and joyful Easter Brunch on March 10th at Pierce Cedar Creek Institute in Hastings.
