Arts Alive Releases 2021 Art Gallery Show Themes

From photography and paintings to sculptures and multi-media, from glitter to grunge, artists of all medium are invited to enter their creative pieces in Arts Alive’s upcoming gallery exhibits at Tibbits Opera House.

Gallery show themes for 2021 include “Big and Bold,” “All that Glitters is Gold,” “Miniatures,” and “Holiday Leftovers.” Artists should interpret the theme any way he/she/they see fit. Artists at any skill level and working with any medium are allowed to enter up to three pieces per show at $5 per submission. Paintings, photographs or drawings should be ready to hang using hanging wire. Sculpture or other mediums are accepted and encouraged as well.  Entries will be eligible for People’s Choice cash prizes and may be sold on commission.

Due to COVID restrictions and the desire to give artists the most exposure of their work, dates for the gallery shows are pending.

“We are releasing the show themes with the intent that artists can begin working on their creations now so they’re ready when we reopen,” said Arts Alive coordinator Stephanie Burdick. “This is a fun new lineup of shows including one featuring miniatures, which has been years since we’ve offered!”

Plans for the annual student Kids’ Art Rocks! competition as well as solo exhibits are also underway.

The gallery shows rotate approximately every six weeks. To be included in the art shows, artists should drop off all pieces and their entry fees at Tibbits’ Administration Office once dates are set.
