They have a private beach, with sand sports, kayaking, swimming, stand up paddle boarding, and their Hydro Zone.
The Hydro Zone is a giant inflatable aquatics playground where you can climb, jump, slide, and splash.
They’re open daily, and you can purchase tickets in advance, and you’ll want to check the weather before you head out.
Air Zoo Museum near Kalamazoo
The Air Zoo near Kalamazoo has just recently reopened to the public.
They’re a world-class aerospace and science museum, with over 100 rare and unique aircraft and spacecraft.
They have new safety features in place for visitors, which you can check out on their website.
They also have virtual day camps going on that your kids can attend from home, with different weeks focusing on topics including dinosaurs, chemistry, space exploration, and more for a variety of grade levels.
Lulu Cadieux Cooking Classes
If you’re looking to up your cooking skills, Lulu Cadiuex is a cooking school and boutique in Saugatuck, housed in a 100-year old former cherry market.
They offer cooking classes for everyone from novice cooks to expert chefs, including classes for kids.
They focus on using fresh, local ingredients, and love to share their love of cooking and food with visitors.
They also have a small boutique, with a great mixture of modern and vintage.
Sunflower Festival at Gull Meadow Farms
And lastly, Gull Meadow Farms’ 2nd Annual Sunflower Days is coming up at the end of the month.
Located in Richland, just northwest of Kalamazoo, Sunflower Days is planned to kick off July 31st, and run weekends through August 16th.
They’ve planted a 5-acre field of brilliant colored sunflowers, with more than 20 different varieties. Admission includes access to the sunflower field, plus a family activity area and petting farm, and one sunflower bloom to cut and take home with you.
