The Holland Arts Council is proud to announce the Avenue Banner Project. The banners exemplify the details of our beautiful downtown 8th street shopping district. Each of the 60 banners in this series focuses on a detail of Holland – natural, architectural or iconic. As viewers stroll 8th Street they will enjoy the challenge of figuring out what the art represents and where the details are located. The artists used a variety of media; pastel, watercolor, oil, pencil, oil pastel, collage and photography. For artist information and banner details go to www.hollandarts.org and click on the 8th Street Banner Project button right on the front page of the website.
The Beauty is in the Details underwriters are; Haworth Inc, Rich and Marcia Lievense, Jim and Donna Brooks, Cunningham Dalman PC, GDK Construction, Herman Miller, The Holland Peanut Store, Inontime, Jonker’s Garden Center, New Holland Brewing Co., Padnos, QH Divas, and The Woman’s Literary Club. Project partners include The City of Holland Downtown Development Authority, Agio Imaging, Haveman Electric, Teddy’s Transport, NEXT Marketing & Design, and the Frame and Mat Shop.
