MERTENS HOSPITALITY ANNOUNCES PLANS FOR REOPENING

Mertens Hospitality (MH) – owners of New Hotel Mertens Brasserie, New Hotel Mertens Bakery, Haute Rooftop Bar, 9th Street Steaks, and Pronto Pasta – is pleased and excited to announce its reopening plans for Monday, June 8.

“We are so eager to open our doors again,” said owner Anthony Tangorra. “Because adhering to social-distancing guidelines is paramount, there will be a few adjustments to service and seating, as well as menus and hours, but this is a wonderful start and we can’t wait to see you.”

Haute Rooftop Bar will be open seven days a week (4-10pm Monday-Thursday, 4pm-2am Friday, 12pm-2am Saturday, 12-10pm Sunday) with a similar menu as before the stay-at-home orders were put in place. New Hotel Mertens Bakery will also be open seven days a week (7am-10pm Sunday-Thursday, 7am-2am Friday-Saturday) but will feature an expanded menu and additional outdoor seating.

MH’s two new pop-up restaurants, 9th Street Steaks and Pronto Pasta, will continue to operate out of New Hotel Mertens’ kitchen (11am-8pm Sunday-Thursday, 11am-10pm Friday-Saturday). Guests may order from either concept in addition to the menus available at the bakery and Haute.

New Hotel Mertens Brasserie—the main dining room and bar area—will not be open to the public at this time until MH has had adequate time to evaluate the logistics and safety of sit-down dining.

“The safety of our guests and staff is our top priority,” said Tangorra. “So, there are a few things to know before joining us. But I assure you, you will still enjoy your dining experience.”

MH will provide counter service only and guests will utilize a new online contact-free queue system for ordering. An 18% gratuity will automatically be added to all checks. All seating will be first-come first-served. An NHM team member will be onsite to ensure safety compliance. Guests who refuse to follow these guidelines can be denied service.
