The Ramsdell Regional Center for the Arts is excited to announce its first-ever Summer of Tribute Series. The series features The Rush Tribute Project (May 29, 2020), The Insiders: A Tom Petty Tribute (July 10, 2020), and Mercury: The Music of Freddie Mercury and Queen featuring Terry Barber (August 29, 2020).

The Rush Tribute Project The Rush Tribute Project is an homage to one of the most enduring and influential bands in rock music. Combining skilled musicianship with exciting performances, RTP brings the magic of Rush’s famous live concerts to clubs and festivals. Covering all forty-plus years of Rush’s amazing career, RTP painstakingly recreates the sound and energy that has made Rush one of the top-selling rock bands of all time.

With a lineup that has performed Rush tribute shows for over a decade across North America and around the world, including RushCon, RTP stands out as one of the premiere tributes to a legendary band. This three-piece uses vintage instruments, clothes, and sounds to produce a Rush concert experience that is unparalleled for the casual fan as well as the most discerning Rush fan.

The Insiders: A Tom Petty Tribute Close your eyes, and you won’t know the difference. Open them and you still might be fooled. The Insiders present the premier Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers experience. With 6 veteran musicians and decades of combined stage and touring experience, The Insiders are genuinely running down the dream.

After the passing of Tom Petty in October of 2017, Max Lockwood organized the band by pulling together some of his favorite musicians for a benefit concert. After a sold-out show that raised thousands for a local domestic violence shelter, The Insiders decided they wouldn’t back down.

Mercury: The Music of Freddie Mercury and Queen featuring Terry Barber. Brought to you by M R Products / Mr. Chain. Hear incredible renditions of We Will Rock You, The Show Must Go On, Under Pressure, I Want It All, Hammer to Fall, Radio Ga Ga, Fat Bottomed Girls, Love Of My Life, We Are The Champions, Barcelona, The Great Pretender, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Bohemian Rhapsody and more.

The show features internationally acclaimed countertenor, Terry Barber plus guitarist Don Carr (Oakridge Boys), pianist/singer and recent Tony winner, Grace Field, plus the creator of the Troubador’s Journey, Jonathan Cummings on drums/singing, and last but not least, the incredible Bones Moltedo on bass.
