Chill Out with Ice Sculptures and Live Carvings at the Downtown Market This Valentine’s Day Weekend

The Grand Rapids Downtown Market is joining forces with Downtown Grand Rapids, Inc. in a big way this year, celebrating the Michigan winter with ice carvings for Valent-ICE and the World of Winter festival, February 14-16.

From February 14-16, guests can visit the Market to check out 10+ food and beverage themed works of frozen craftsmanship under the Market Shed, while sipping a hot or frosty beverage from the outdoor bar – new this year! Downtown Market visitors can also enjoy dazzling live ice carving demonstrations by chainsaw masters, occurring every hour from 2-6 p.m. on Saturday, February 15.

Valent-ICE, one of the largest ice festivals in Michigan, is a part of the World of Winter festival celebrating why we choose to live in Michigan – because the ice and snow can be pretty spectacular. This annual ice-themed event series spans Feb. 14-16 and showcases 50+ ice sculptures, walking and running tours, live ice carvings, giveaways, ice-skating and more!
