Journeyman Distillery’s ‘Comedy on the Rocks’ returns to their Still Room for Valentine’s Day, Friday, February 14.
Three comedians will fill the night with laughter as attendees fill their glasses with the award-winning spirits produced just beyond the gallery wall separating the stage from Journeyman’s working stills.
Headlining the night will be comedian Amy Sumpter. A seasoned and popular performer, Amy ranked as one of the top 100 comics on Last Comic Standing, Season 9. She’s been featured in numerous web series and performs in ‘She’s Crafty,’ an all female Beastie Boys tribute band.
Featured performer, Zako Ryan, is a “nothing is off limits” comic rising through the ranks in the Chicago comedy scene. He delivers a well balanced combination of grit and charm derived from his dirt road upbringing, rooted in Beaufort, South Carolina. A producer at the Laugh Factory in Chicago, Zako has performed at clubs across the country—headlining at The Drop, CUCO, and CG’s.
Journeyman’s very own, Maxwell Tidey, returns to host this special Valentine’s night of comedy. A house manager at The Drop Comedy Club, Max has worked alongside national touring comics. He brings charm and wit to the stage and says he stands up to comedy by simply being himself—“in the best and worst of ways.”
‘Comedy on the Rocks’ has been a hot ticket in Michigan’s Harbor Country, consistently selling out Journeyman’s intimate Still Room. The fun-filled, laughter-packed night of stand-up will take place on Friday, February 14 at 8:00 PM. Admission is $20 per person. For more info and to purchase tickets, visit journeymandistillery.com/
