Oliver Art Center has added two new exhibitions for 2020 and they both have an open call. First up, is OAC’s Printmaking Invitational and Open Call Exhibition. The exhibition will feature three printmakers, Andrew Jagniecki from Onekama, Lauren Everett Finn from Honor, and L.C. Lim from Pennsylvania and Frankfort. In addition to these printmakers, OAC is asking for other artists to submit up to two of their printmaking artworks for display. Cost is free for art center members and $5 for non-members. Artwork drop off is February 8 and 9 and the exhibition runs from February 14 to March 13 with an opening reception from 5p-7p on the 14th.
Immediately following the Printmaking show, OAC is hosting ‘Make Mine Abstract!’ Invitational and Open Call Exhibition. The exhibition will feature artists Skye Gentle from Frankfort, Carol C Spaulding from Maple City, and Susan Thompson from Lake Ann. As with the Printmaking show, OAC is asking artists to submit up to two pieces of artwork for display. Cost is free for art center members and $5 for non-members. Artwork drop off is March 14 and 15 and the exhibition runs March 20 through April 17, with an opening reception from 5p-7p on the 20th.
“We are very excited about these exhibitions as it lets us shine the spotlight on other forms of art.
