Gun Lake Casino, a supporter of Dégagé Ministries since 2011, served hundreds of guests during an annual charitable event on January 16, 2020. Gun Lake Casino donated fresh food, an assortment of refreshments, dessert, and the hands of thirty-two volunteers. An additional $2,500 was provided to support the mission of Dégagé Ministries.
Sandhill Café Chefs, Keenan Fifield and Travis Narlock, carefully prepared two delicious meals for the community of Grand Rapids. Gun Lake Casino volunteers kindly served over 300 plates during lunch and breakfast. Sean Copenhaver, guitarist for local band Brena, provided live entertainment during the event.
“We are honored to continue our partnership with Dégagé Ministries,” stated Sal Semola, president and chief operating officer of Gun Lake Casino. “Each year, our team members eagerly volunteer to participate in this occasion. There is nothing more gratifying than serving those who need it the most.”
Dégagé Ministries works daily to assure the men, women and children of Grand Rapids receive the basic supplies for daily living. Hundreds of individuals receive vital necessities at Dégagé including: meals, drinking water, winter clothing, hygiene products and most importantly hope and respect.
