On Thursday, January 30, at 7:00 pm the Mendel Center at Lake Michigan College presents Molly as part of it Living Room Series. This special Living Room Series performance will be held on The Mendel Center Mainstage where audience members will sit on stage with the band for a unique musical experience.
Molly is a Grand Rapids-based musician, song-writer, and performing artist with a history of many projects and collaborations. As she grows as an artist in creating solo work, she continues to explore the truths and constructed realities of what it means to be alive as a woman of color navigating old and new territories through sound and space. Her unique past and desire for a sense of absolute freedom not only inform her emotive style of singing but also narrate her thought-provoking lyrics making for a moody, eclectic, colorful, and soulful mixture of voicings.
