The holiday fun in Downtown Holland continues after Thanksgiving weekend on Tuesday, December 3 with the annual Parade of Lights! During this highly anticipated holiday parade, Santa will arrive in Downtown Holland accompanied by over 75 local businesses, schools, churches and non-profit organizations all lit up in thousands of sparkling lights! The 2019 Parade of Lights is proudly sponsored by Holland Manpower.
“Holland-Zeeland Manpower is proud and honored to support our local community by sponsoring the Parade of Lights in Downtown Holland for the second year in a row,” said Manpower Lakeshore Market Manager Holly Schroeder. “Manpower believes that you come first. Whether you’re looking for a new career or the perfect addition to your company, let us help you! From all of us at Manpower, Happy Holidays!”
The Parade of Lights begins at the corner of 8th Street and Columbia Avenue at 6:30 pm on December 3 and proceeds west on 8th Street to the Holland Civic Center Place, home of the Holiday Kerstmarkt. This year, parade entries will not be permitted to hand out candy along the parade route to help protect the safety of children in attendance by preventing them from entering the parade route.
If you can’t watch the Parade of Lights in person, be sure to tune into the parade live stream, hosted by former WZZM Channel 13 news anchors Lauren Stanton and Jennifer Pascua. The live stream can be found that evening on both the City of Holland and Downtown Holland Facebook pages.
