Fall Fest Returns to Downtown Holland and the Holland Farmers Market October 11 – 12

Fall Fest returns to Downtown Holland and the Holland Farmers Market on Friday, October 11 and Saturday, October 12 this year! During this two-day event, the entire community is invited to celebrate everything there is to love about fall, with professional pumpkin carving, hayrides, pumpkin
painting, street performers and more! Fall Fest is proudly sponsored by Crown Motors, member of West Michigan Honda, with in-kind support from the Courtyard Marriott, Fris Downtown, Kips Hotdogs, and The City Delicatessen.

“As a locally-owned family business, we enjoy supporting our local economy and communities,” said Crown Motors General Manager Brad Siegers, “Crown is proud to be the exclusive sponsor for Fall Fest and we look forward to spending time celebrating fall with our friends and neighbors in Downtown Holland once again this year.”

Eight of the nation’s best professional pumpkin carvers, including Food Network alumni, will make a return appearance at this year’s Fall Fest. On Friday, October 11, the carvers will spend the afternoon and evening carving jack-o-lanterns all along 8th Street in Downtown Holland from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Their jack-o-lanterns will be lit from within and will remain on display after the sun sets. We promise you won’t see jack-o-lanterns like this on your neighbor’s doorstep on Halloween night! While you’re downtown, be sure to enjoy dinner at a Downtown Holland restaurant or pub, spend some time shopping for fall fashions and home décor or grab a hot cup of coffee or cocoa to sip while you stroll.

On Saturday, October 12, the professional carvers will return to Downtown Holland from 12:00 pm – 7:00 pm, where they will spend the day sculpting incredible, three-dimensional pumpkin displays. Watch these talented artists at work, then be sure to return later on to see their finished masterpieces! Street performers, including face painters, caricature artists and balloon twisters, will add to the fun from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Hayrides from Downtown to the Holland Farmers Market and back again will also be available from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm thanks to Market vendors Visser Farms. Hayrides are just $3.00 per person for the roundtrip.

You can also watch the professional pumpkin carvers show off their talents at the Holland Farmers Market from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 12. Children can paint pumpkins for just $1.00 per pumpkin during that time as well, with all supplies provided. And while you’re at the Holland Farmers Market, don’t forget to visit our vendors to get your fill of everything fall! The Market will be open from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm and is stocked full of seasonal décor items, including pumpkins, gourds, mums, hay bales and corn shocks, along with everything you need to create your family’s favorite fall dishes. You’ll find apples of every variety at the Market, along with squash, Brussels sprouts, potatoes, carrots and other
root vegetables. And as always, you can pick up fresh baked goods, farm-raised meats and eggs, honey and maple syrup, and much, much more while you’re here.
