Fall Color and Holiday Happenings in Coldwater Country

The return of autumn’s annual fall color is always anticipated and the quaint communities that make up Coldwater Country–Bronson, Coldwater, Quincy, Union City–are ready to welcome the dazzling display of changing leaves.

Take a fall color tour on one of the 100 lakes, including two chains of lakes. Coldwater Country is a haven for relaxation on the water. Kayak the Union City Heritage Trail to learn about the area as you take in Mother Nature’s changing colors.

Step aboard the Fall Pumpkin Train with Coldwater Country’s Little River Railroad. Gaze at the frenzy off all color as you travel from Coldwater to Quincy aboard a historic locomotive. Once in Quincy, passengers have the opportunity to purchase a pumpkin perfect for Halloween. Trains run at 11am and 2pm on Sundays throughout October. Advance tickets required.

Select the perfect pumpkin at Swift’s Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze in Bronson. Make it a fun family day and have fun getting lost at Swift’s inaugural corn maze. This 9-acre maze offers a unique design that is fun for all ages.

Another fun Coldwater Country corn maze is the M-60 Corn Maze in Union City. Celebrate the harvest season with a trip through the Under the Sea themed corn maze. Make sure to find all 10 check points using the clues provided. For a spookier experience, try one of our corn mazes after dark!

Looking for costume contests and other reasons to wear your fantastic Halloween costume? Don that costume and head to the Capri Drive-In on Saturday, October 19, for Halloween at the Drive-In. Enjoy a special low admission price to the double feature, and costume contests with prizes for both kids and adults. For a ghostly good time, check out the Haunted Forest at Coldwater’s Rotary Park, October 11 and 12. Visitors can adventure through the forest from 6pm to 9pm both Friday and Saturday. The early session, from 6-7:30pm, will be a less scary version for our younger crowd and the later session will be the true Haunted Forest.

Witches, pumpkin heads, black cats and bats, oh my…it must be the Haunted Masonic Temple in Coldwater! Back for another season of fun and screams, the spooks and house spirits are sure to scare locals and visitors alike!
