Flat River Songwriter Showcase – September 28 at 7:00pm

LowellArts is pleased to present an evening of authentic songs, stories, and camaraderie from some of the Michigan’s finest songwriters. Hosted by Josh Rose, the event features four incredible songwriting artists in the intimate space of the LowellArts gallery. Gracing the stage will be Kyle Rasche, Kaitlin Rose, Ed Dupas, and Audra Kubat. With over ten full length studio albums and forty years of shows between them, these artists will be sharing their catalog in an in-the-round format, in which each person takes a turn, sharing wisdom, vignettes, and perhaps even a little humor in between. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door.

Troll for Trout – October 5 at 7:00pm

The lines from Troll for Trout’s anthem, Gettin’ Out of Town, capture the spirit of the band’s colorful 25-year history–a legacy that’s earned the Michigan band a diehard following and spawned an impressive trove of acclaimed recordings. Tickets are $12 in advance, $14 at the door.

Kari Lynch Band – October 12 at 7:00pm

The Kari Lynch Band is no stranger to the spotlight. Their high energy, lively show leaves a lasting impression on all of those who get the chance to hear them live. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door.

Jon Montgomery & the Roger MacNaughton Trio – October 13 at 3:00pm

Join us for an afternoon infused with Jazz, Funk, R&B, and Soul with West Michigan’s finest musicians. They will be joined by West Michigan’s superlative songstress, Tami Hjelm. Tickets are $20.

Checkers Morton – October 19 at 7:00pm

When Checkers Morton formed in 1972, they played only “Free Jazz” inspired by the music of John Coltrane, Ornette Coleman, Miles Davis and the like. There were no tunes, key, time signatures, or any other agreements… “just play and let the music take you where it wants to go” was the rule. It still is. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door.

An Dro – October 26 at 7:00pm

An Dro takes you on an adventure that is both personal and universal. You’ll hear traditional Irish melodies, medieval French songs, Breton dance tunes, Scandinavian refrains, Appalachian influences, Arabic rhythms, and African grooves–all performed with joy and freshness. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door.
