Learn The Art of Small Plates at the Chef Series

Small plate are a big trend in the culinary world. Find out why this Saturday, August 3, at the Holland Farmers Market Chef Series! Executive Chef Chris Gibble from CityFlatsHotel will demonstrate how to create restaurant-style small plates by using fresh local produce in new and exciting ways! The Chef Series demonstration begins at 10:00 am and is proudly sponsored by Higher Health Chiropractic with in-kind support from Visser Farms.

A native of Pittsburgh, Gibble experienced his culinary calling while working in the Rocky Mountains of Montana. Initially Gibble experimented at home with traditional comfort foods and delectable desserts. After moving to the Grand Rapids area, he started his culinary career working for TSO Catering where he developed the art of garde manger. Today, Gibble runs the kitchen at CityFlatsHotel in Downtown Holland as their Executive Chef.

Each week during the Chef Series at the Holland Farmers Market, a talented local chef, caterer or Market vendor demonstrates how to prepare an easy, healthy and delicious meal using fresh Market ingredients. The Chef Series is held at 10:00 am every Saturday through August 31 and is free to attend. Recipes are available at the demonstration and will also be posted online at www.hollandfarmersmarket.com the week following the demonstration.
