GRAND RAPIDS DOWNTOWN MARKET ANNOUNCES “BEER CITY FALL CRAWL”

This September, Grand Rapids Downtown Market is introducing an all-new event in partnership with six other Heartside neighborhood businesses.

The “Beer City Fall Crawl” takes place from 1-5 p.m. on September 14, and takes participants on a 1.5-mile loop starting and ending at the Market with six other stops in between: Craft Beer Cellar, Peppino’s Pizza, Tavern & Tap, The Grand Woods Lounge, Founders Brewing and The Tin Can, then returning to the Downtown Market. Each stop will have drink specials for participants.

Participation is $30, or $25 for “early birds” who register by August 15. Entry includes a t-shirt, “Chugging Checklist,” pint glass, free first drink at the Market bar, drink specials at each stop, and a $5 Downtown Market gift certificate. The crawl begins and ends at the Downtown Market, where participants can fuel up with lunch or dinner at the Market Hall before and/or after the event.

“Grand Rapids is known as Beer City, and we’re so fortunate to be in the midst of tons of great bars and breweries here in Heartside,” said Amanda Gielczyk, VP of the Downtown Market. “The Fall Crawl is a great way to partner with our neighbors and create a one-of-a-kind experience, and more importantly a reason for participants to support seven local businesses all in one day.”
