Events for the 4th of July and Beyond in West Michigan

Holland Fireworks: July 4th

  • The Holland Independence Day Celebration Freedom & Fireworks starts at 12:30 pm July 4th in Kollen Park, with kids games, martial arts demonstrations, live music throughout the day, and fireworks at dusk over Lake Macatawa to the sounds of live, patriotic music (estimated start time 10:25 pm). There will also be food booths serving late lunch and dinner.

Grand Rapids Fireworks: July 6th

  • Celebrate the 4th of July with live music, drink specials, delicious food, a great view of the river, and fireworks at six.one.six at the JW Marriott! First Tier tickets for $75 (per adult, child or military) include meal and an assigned table. Second tier tickets for $25 includes entrance only in the standing room only area.
  • July 6th WP Patio Fireworks Viewing Party at The Kitchen by Wolfgang Puck tickets are on sale now. $50+tax+22% gives you a guaranteed spot on the patio all night. $35 Veteran price. Party is from 6:00 pm-midnight. Food from 6:00 pm-10:00 pm.

Aquastar Cruises

  • The Aquastar, formerly known as The Port City Princess, has a rich history in Muskegon of cruising both Muskegon Lake and Lake Michigan. Whether it’s a sunset cruise or daytime excursion you will be sure to enjoy your time out on the water. 
  • Conveniently located at the Mart Dock in downtown Muskegon with plentiful parking, the Aquastar’s new interior design and exterior color scheme takes inspiration from the streamlined style of historic vessels from Muskegon’s past such as the S.S Aquarama and the S.S Milwaukee Clipper. 
  • We can accommodate private parties of up to 150 guests or enjoy one of our many public or special event cruises and meet new friends out on the water. Under new ownership and equipped with a freshly refurbished bar, dining and galley areas, a DJ booth and an upper deck dance floor, the Aquastar can accommodate almost any type of party in comfort and style.
  • Special Cruises this summer include: swing dance cruise, live music cruise, and a luau cruise, in addition to their regular afternoon and sunset cruises.

Pet.A.Pawlooza

  • Michele’s Rescue is pleased to announce Pet.A.Pawlooza will be coming to Grand Rapids, Saturday July 27, 2019. This is the 4th annual Pet.A.Pawlooza event, however the 1st in Kent County. 
  • Pet.A.Pawlooza is a collaborative community event promoting education, resources & adoptions. There are over 35 vendors that are made up of shelters, rescues, wildlife rehabs, veterinarians, boarders, groomers & pet related products. 
  • Many vendors will have items available for sale. Pot Belly Sandwiches will be onsite selling food.  There will be pets available for adoption. At this time, public pets are asked to stay home. 
  • The event will also include a silent auction that will raise money for a spay/neuter program.
  • Pet.A.Pawlooza will be held at The US Army Reserve Center – 3870 3 Mile Rd NW, Grand Rapids, MI.

Glamping in South Haven

  • Last month, The Fields was unveiled as the Midwest’s first luxury glamping experience.
