It’s tea time at the W.K. Kellogg Manor House

Sip some tea, enjoy delicious treats and learn about a local lavender farm at the W.K. Kellogg Manor House during the Shades of Lavender Tea, set for 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 17.

Janene Rawlinson, owner of Shades of Lavender Farm in Mattawan, Michigan, will join the group to talk about her farm and the many benefits of lavender. Janene also will share information on the handcrafted bath and body, culinary and home care products made with the lavender that’s grown on the farm.

Shades of Lavender Farm opened to the public in the summer of 2018. The farm offers u-pick opportunities and a variety of classes for visitors. The lavender and wildflowers on the farm provide excellent food sources for bees and other pollinators.

The cost of attendance is $33 for members of the Manor House, $36 for non-members, and $17 for children ages 5 to 12. Reservations are required.

The Manor House is located at 3700 East Gull Lake Dr., in Hickory Corners. To learn more, visit conference.kbs.msu.edu. Direct questions tomanorhouse@kbs.wmich.edu or (269) 671-2400.
