Kids of all ages are invited to the Grand Rapids Downtown Market for Masterminds, a new kid-focused STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) event on July 9 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on the second floor.

Masterminds at the Market celebrates science, technology, engineering and math, allowing kids to put on their thinking caps and explore science-related topics, displays, demos, and activities, including:

·      Demonstrations and hands-on activities exploring force and motion from Impression 5 Science Center in Lansing

·      Virtual reality games with MI Unlimited Photography 

·      Lego robots that kids can program to make different sounds, as well as technic engineering bricks that allow Legos to move, both from Bricks4Kidz

·      Robots and robotic activities from Code Red Robotics
