The Charlevoix Summer Art Show is happening this weekend in east park, and runs from Friday through Sunday. It features a mix of fine art and fine crafts displayed on the shores of scenic round lake in downtown Charlevoix. Participating artists are carefully selected to ensure a well-rounded show with many fun and unique items on display. Head to the Village at Bay Harbor on Wednesday, July 3 to celebrate independence day. You’ll enjoy an always-amazing show by the Petoskey Steel Drum Band, with an unparalleled fireworks display over bay harbor lake starting at dusk. Come and get your seat on the lawn early, as it’s always a spectacular show in Bay Harbor for fireworks night.
If you’ve got kids who love to be outdoors, meet new friends, and get a little dirty. Check out the Grass River Natural Area’s Summer Camp in Bellaire from July 8 through July 11. Tucked away along the Grass River in Antrim County, the camp emphasizes interactive, hands-on, outdoor learning experiences with professional naturalists, and lots of fun and games in between. Campers must be between the ages of 6 and 11, with camp running from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
